No Vaccine Papers? - NY Police Arrest Diners
It’s well over 40 yrs ago that I first stepped foot onto New York, it was the 80s and things were a lot different then.
I was visiting my sister that worked at a major record label in NYC. Enroute in the Yellow cab, we got pulled over by a cop, the driver was arrested for a traffic violation and I was unceremoniously turfed out in to NYC - with no clue where I was.
The cop couldn’t care less, and there were no mobile phones with GPS. Eventually, I worked out where I needed to go and so headed off to see my sister. It wasn’t that far, thankfully, and just outside her building, in the road, was a man sitting on the floor, clutching his leg and screaming.
He was a courier and had been knocked off his bike, his leg was broken and deformed - an open fracture, a terrible sight of jagged bones broken through skin, no wonder he was screaming.
No one was helping him, so I stepped into the road and did the best I could to comfort him. A cop stood lazily by, chewing gum and did not raise a finger to help. I couldn’t believe it. My impression of NYC cops was not going well.
As disturbing as that situation was, I never would have believed then that NYC cops would be behaving they way they are now.
Given that Covid-19 vaccines do not prevent transmission of infection, amongst all the other things they don’t do, and make you vulnerable to new variants, then what’s the point of vaccine passports?
Segregating the vaccinated from the unvaccinated, allowing vaccine passport holders, that can get infected and pass on that infection, into shops & restaurants but removing the unvaccinated is plain stupidity. An unvaccinated person with an intact, innate immune system; or naturally infected, offers far superior protection than someone who is vaccinated.
The vaccines certainly do not justify this behaviour.
